Response to OFAC Planning application
Planning Application MW.0027/22
I am writing on behalf of the Trustees of the 10 acre field owned by the Ferry Hinksey Trust which is in the path of the proposed second stage channel in the current planning application submitted by OFAS
This field was placed into a trust to benefit the local community and from the income derived to support four charities, three of them based in Oxford.
The field is currently being let to the 14th Oxford Scouts as a place for them to hold their activities, provide a place for a hut in which to meet and store their equipment, hold their overnight camps, and provide a venue for many other scout troops to make use of.
The current proposal for a second stage channel would take a sizeable proportion of this field and cut off its access to the Seacourt Stream which is useful for some of their activities.
It is for this reason we oppose this planning application.
Yours sincerely
Chris Sugden (Canon Dr)
Trustee of the Ferry Hinksey Trust
